Most wallets credit funds and ask no questions. Signal Burst screens every incoming transfer at the mempool level — checking the sender against sanctions and high-risk datasets before the transaction confirms — while your private keys never leave your device.

What Happens When Someone Sends You Crypto

From the moment a transfer appears in the mempool to the moment it's credited, Signal Burst's screening engine has already issued a verdict — at no cost to you, with your keys never leaving your device.

01
Mempool Detection

Transfer Detected Before Confirmation

Signal Burst watches the public mempool in real time. The moment an incoming transfer to your address is broadcast — before the first block confirmation — screening begins.

02
Screening Engine

Sender Address Checked Against 12+ Sources

The sender's public address is checked against OFAC SDN, EU and UK sanctions lists, FATF high-risk jurisdictions, known mixer clusters, ransomware wallets, and darknet-market address sets. A two-hop graph walk traces indirect exposure.

03
Result Delivered

Risk Score + Alert Before Funds Arrive

You get a risk score (0–100) with a plain-language explanation — before the transfer confirms. Clear: credited automatically. Flagged: you're alerted and decide whether to accept.

04
Zero Cost

Always Free — No Subscription, No Per-Scan Fee

Incoming-transfer screening is a free core feature of Signal Burst. There is no subscription, no per-scan charge, and no premium tier required to use it.

A Full Self-Custody Wallet. With Screening Built In.

Signal Burst is a complete non-custodial software wallet — multi-chain support, full transfer history, and your own keys — with free incoming screening on every account from day one, plus optional identity verification for users who need a verified tier.

🔒

Free Screening on Every Receive

Every incoming transfer is checked automatically, for free, before it reaches your balance. No opt-in, no subscription, no per-check fee — it's the default, for everyone.

Mempool-Level Detection

Screening starts the moment a transfer is broadcast to the network — before the first block confirmation. You see the result before the funds arrive.

🌐

12+ Screening Data Sources

OFAC SDN, EU Consolidated List, HM Treasury UK, FATF high-risk countries, mixer/tumbler clusters, ransomware wallets, and darknet-market address sets — checked together.

🔑

Non-custodial Self-custody

Standard BIP-39/44 HD wallet. Your seed phrase is generated on your device and never transmitted. Screening reads the sender's public address metadata only — your keys remain exclusively yours.

🪪

Optional Identity Verification

Want a verified tier? Complete optional KYC to unlock higher limits on add-on services. Verification is opt-in — the core self-custody wallet works fully without it.

📋

Exportable Screening Report

Generate a signed PDF of your wallet's incoming-transfer history with screening results — for exchanges, accountants, or anyone asking you to show the provenance of your funds.

// How we handle compliance

Small Team. Serious About the Boring Part.

We're independent, but we don't wing the part that matters. Signal Burst runs sanctions and high-risk screening on every incoming transfer, maintains a written AML program with a designated compliance officer, and offers optional identity verification for users who want a verified tier — all while keeping your wallet fully non-custodial. We don't hold your keys or your funds to do any of it.

Sanctions & High-Risk Screening

Every incoming transfer is checked against OFAC, EU/UK sanctions, mixer clusters, and high-risk address datasets before it's credited.

Documented AML Program

Written AML/CFT policy, sanctions screening, and monitoring under a designated compliance officer.

Optional Identity Verification

KYC is opt-in, for a verified tier only. The core self-custody wallet works fully without it.

Non-custodial by Design

We never take custody of your keys or your funds. Screening operates on public blockchain data, not on your private keys.

// Why we built this

Compliance shouldn't be a luxury feature.

Signal Burst started with a frustration most crypto users will recognize: you receive a transfer, it lands, and only later — at an exchange, at tax time, from a worried message — do you find out the funds touched something they shouldn't have. By then it's your problem.

The tools that screen for this have existed for years, but they were priced for institutions and bolted onto custodial platforms that hold your keys. We didn't think that was right. So we built a wallet that does the screening up front, for free, on the way in — and that never takes custody of your funds to do it.

We're a small, independent team — but we did the unglamorous groundwork: a real AML program, sanctions screening, a designated compliance officer, and optional verification for people who need it. Not because a hobby project needs it, but because if we're going to ask you to trust a wallet with your money, that part isn't optional. You can read exactly how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy.

// FAQ

Common Questions

Is Signal Burst custodial? Do you ever hold my funds?
No. Signal Burst is fully non-custodial. Your private keys and seed phrase are generated on your device and never transmitted to us. We never hold, move, or have access to your funds. Screening reads the sender's public address metadata, which is visible to anyone on the blockchain.
Why screen incoming transfers instead of outgoing ones?
Many tools screen outgoing transactions — meaning the funds already left before anyone flagged a problem. Signal Burst screens incoming transfers the moment they appear in the mempool, so you know about a potential issue before you accept the funds. That protects you from unknowingly receiving from a sanctioned or high-risk address, which can create problems for you at downstream exchanges.
How is the screening free?
The engine combines cached public lists (OFAC, EU, UN sanctions) with aggregated address datasets. Cost per check is small when batched at scale. We offer it as a free baseline feature and build optional add-ons — PDF report export, developer API, advanced graph analysis — on top. The incoming screening stays free.
Do I have to complete KYC to use the wallet?
No. The core self-custody wallet and the free incoming screening work without any identity verification. KYC is optional and only required if you choose to use a verified tier or certain regulated add-on services. You stay in control of what you share.
What happens if an incoming transfer is flagged?
You get an in-app notification with the risk score and a breakdown of what was found. Scores below 30: credited automatically and noted. Scores 30–69: you're alerted before crediting and must confirm. Scores 70+: the transfer is held pending and you receive a full report before deciding whether to accept it. You always remain in control.
Which chains are supported?
Screening currently targets Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains (Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Chain), where address screening is most mature. Bitcoin and Solana screening are on the roadmap. The wallet itself supports a broader set of chains for self-custody regardless of screening coverage.
